Bible Reading Plan for Students

September 9, 2014 by Jennifer Siao

As you begin the fall quarter of Explore the Bible: Students, we want to encourage you to point your students to the Bible Reading Plan! Hebrews is the book of focus for September through November. The Bible Reading Plan is found on page 82 of the Personal Study Guide and on page 134 in the Leader Guide. It is also found in the digital option and is available here online for you to access and print.

During your sessions and group study, you won’t be able to cover every passage and verse in Hebrews. Explore the Bible: Students is not designed to cover every verse, but to give an overview of the specific book or books of the Bible being studied.

That’s also where the Bible Reading Plan we provide comes into play. Since every verse and chapter of Hebrews cannot be covered in the sessions, it is beneficial to direct your students to the reading plan if they don’t already have a Bible reading plan of their own. Each day’s reading is not more than five verses for the study in Hebrews, so it’s a very reasonable amount of reading a day even for students who have busy schedules.

Challenge your students to take a copy of the Bible Reading Plan home with them and put it in a spot where they’ll see it each day. If you have a specific time or place where you do your own personal Bible reading, share this with your students to give them ideas and to encourage them.

Emphasize to your students the importance of letting God’s Word dwell in them each day and continue to encourage them to read and study Hebrews on their own during the week.
