Unpacking the Tool Kit

The Tool Kit is a small sampling of everything that’s needed to lead one group of kids. You will need one kit for each small group you have. Once you have a Tool Kit, you only need to buy extra Leader Guides and learner pieces. If you want extras of anything else those are available separately as well. Let’s take a look at what is included.

Tool Kits
There are four Tool Kits available: Babies & Toddlers Tool Kit; Preschool Tool Kit; Younger Kids Tool Kit; and Older Kids Tool Kit. The tool kits each include one leader guide, one learner piece (Babies & Toddlers Diaper Bag Cards; Preschool Activity Pages; Younger Kids Explorer Guide; Older Kids Explorer Guide), one leader pack or poster pack, and one Enhanced CD. The younger and older kids Tool Kits also include a set of Family Cards and a DVD.

Leader
The leader guide gives leaders 13 session plans per quarter to guide boys and girls on an adventure of exploring the Bible.

Learner
The learner guides vary by age group. Babies & Toddlers have a Diaper Bag Card—a sturdy card intended to be dropped in a diaper bag as parents return to receive their children. The Diaper Bag Card has a story picture along with Bible nuggets that relate to the story. The back of the card has 3 suggestions for parents to continue Bible learning at home. Preschool Activity Pages are a gummed pad of activity pages intended to be distributed weekly. Each page engages preschoolers during the session. Explorer Guides for younger and older kids are interactive magazines for kids to use during class to understand the historical and biblical context of the passages being studied.

Pack
For Babies & Toddlers and Preschoolers the Tool Kits contain one Leader Pack. This pack includes teaching resources that supplement the teaching time and make preparation and planning easier for leaders. Younger and older kids Tool Kits have a Poster Pack which includes posters for the Family Memory Verse, Christ in Context, Text Truth, and Connection Statements.

Enhanced CD
The enhanced CD contains audio music files and printable material that will give teachers additional resources to use in leading boys and girls in Bible exploration.

Family Cards
Younger and older kids Tool Kits contain Family Cards. These cards display the object of the week on the front and engaging questions parents can use to follow up with their kids on the back of the cards.

DVD
The DVD included with the kids kits contains 13 Explore the Bible On Location videos that give kids a fun path of discovery while leading them to engage with the Scriptures in fresh, fun, and exciting way.
