We’re discussing teaching tools this month and we’re to our last (but, certainly not least-important) one. Handouts are outstanding teaching aids, giving group members unique and helpful information. Each quarter our Leader Pack includes numerous handouts. Leaders, you have permission to utilize these during your teaching time, photocopy as many as you need, and distribute them to your group members.
Handouts can offer valuable insight to the passage you’re studying. But don’t take my word for it, here’s a closer look! Below are three handouts from our Spring 2023 study of John 12-21.
Timeline of John (a visual timeline of events occurring before and during John’s life)
A general description of major events beginning spanning from 30 BC to AD 100. For use with sessions 1-13.
Jesus’s Humanity and Deity (chart)
Jesus is both fully God and fully human. This chart shows specific examples from God’s Word that support and illustrate this claim. For use with sessions 1-13.
In John 11, Jesus learned that His friend Lazarus was sick, but still He delayed going to see him. This article gives a deeper look at the cultural beliefs and context for this passage. For use with session 13.
Don’t underestimate a solid handout! It may just be what your group discussion needs.

Thank you so very much for the above charts. My class is made up of older women (ages 70-94). As our memories began to fade, as a teacher I believe in reading, hearing and seeing to jolt our memories as we learn more about Jesus. These ladies are the prayer warriors in our Church.
