Leading a Bible study is no small task. It requires study, prayer, and preparation to be able to lead a group discussion on God’s Word. And, we know group leaders have multiple work and family responsibilities in a typical week, so prep time can be hard to find.
We’re here to help! In addition to the printed Leader Guide or QuickSource Leader Guide, our team offers some online helps for busy leaders. These release each Sunday at goexplorethebible.com/blog.
Extra Idea
Our Leader Guide offers an easy to follow, step-by-step teaching plan. But, what if you’d like to connect the lesson to what’s happening in the world today? Each week we provide an Extra Idea leaders can incorporate into their teaching that connects the topic of study to current events. This is only found online and isn’t included in the printed Leader Guide. It’s extra!
Weekly Leader Training Podcast
Each week our team hosts a 20-minute podcast that offers a glimpse into that week’s lesson. Our team leader is joined by guest hosts to discuss the passage and answer some common questions that group members may have about what you’ll study. Find this on podcasting apps like Spotify, Stitcher, or Apple podcasts.

What if our church curriculum is different than yours
Amber Vaden says
Bob,
Hi! Thanks for asking this. The online leader helps available at GoExploreTheBible.com are designed to complement the Explore the Bible Adult resources. So, they are specific to the passage we will study each week. The Explore the Bible Leader Helps may not be helpful with another curriculum unless you’re studying the same passage. If you are using another curriculum, we encourage you to seek out a Leader Guide, teaching plan, or other teaching tools that may be helpful to your preparation to teach.
Sincerely, Amber Vaden

I am an associate minister in an OLD FASHION tradition church and I am implementing Bible study by using teaching from a great author that has material on Lifeway.
Our first Bible study will be “Kingdom Authority” by Tony Evans. Do you have any suggestions on how to transition into media bible study from a Physical person reading and narrating the text? Any assistance will be appreciated.
Amber Vaden says
Willie,
Hi! This is a good question. In the Kingdom Authority book, each week will have a teaching outline that gives an overview of how to lead that lesson. Usually, the teaching outline suggests opening your group time as you normally would, then watching the video together, then having time for discussion and teaching time after that. That’s real general but the Kingdom Authority book will be more specific.
Thank you for investing in your Bible study group!
Sincerely, Amber Vaden
