It’s hard to believe that March is here! Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes longer days, prettier weather, and more outdoor activities. It’s also a perfect time to gather your Bible study group outside of your regular meeting time. Relationships are key to our spiritual growth, so finding time to forge deeper friendships with those in your group is worth the effort.
Here are just a few things to do with your group this Spring:
- Get outdoors. Plan a trip to a local state park or natural area for a hike, kayak adventure, or scenic drive. Check out what’s available within a short distance and look for a Saturday that works with as many schedules as possible.
- Serve together. What need can your group meet in your community? Identify a volunteer opportunity that fits the interest and abilities of your group. Then, meet up to serve as a team. You’ll likely uncover hidden talents of those in your group.
- Host a potluck. We all have to eat! Invite group members to sign up for part of the meal and choose a day. If your group is up for it, meet at a local park with options like volleyball, pickleball, or disc golf, for after the meal.
Don’t feel pressured to make this an elaborate event. Do take this opportunity to invite those who have been absent for a while or those who have only visited once or twice. Whatever you do, just enjoy being together!
