One of the greatest ways to continue exploring the Bible at home is by using the Explore the Bible: Kids App. The App is FREE, it can be downloaded in the iTunes® App Store and Google Play, and it can be used on both tablets and cell phones! The App includes ways for preschoolers, kids, and parents to interact with the weekly Bible stories and content.
- Preschool: Bible Story Puzzles enable preschoolers to piece together a jigsaw version of the weekly teaching picture. Preschoolers will enjoy the activity, see the picture, and be congratulated for completing it. A Memory Verse activity is also provided. Preschoolers can color a picture to reveal the hidden family memory verse. Additionally, there is a Play button that will allow them to hear the family memory verse.
- Kids: One of the most exciting features for kids is Explorer Plus. Explorer Plus allows kids to explore objects, infographics, and more from the weekly study. It’s a great way to dig deeper into what they are learning. The Memory Verse section will help kids learn the weekly family memory verse by determining what order the verse should be in.
- Parents: An additional great feature of the App is the Parent section. This will allow (and hopefully encourage) parents to interact with the app and learn what their children are learning. The Bible Reading Plan provides a daily reading plan to follow throughout the quarter, and even links to an online Bible (Wi-Fi required). The Preschool and Kids Weekly Bible Stories sections give age appropriate versions of the weekly Bible stories that parents can use to read with their child.
Exploring the Bible goes beyond the classroom. For kids to truly begin digging deeper, their Biblical exploration needs to continue at home. The Explore the Bible: Kids App is a fun way for both parents and kids to learn more about God’s Word.
