Since introducing the Daily Discipleship Guide in 2017, we have learned a great deal from your comments and our own experience leading groups. The value of daily Bible engagement, coordination between group study, individual study, and accountability groups have all been affirmed. And including the leader’s helps in the back of the resource was also well received.
However, there were some things that needed attention, including the Explore the Text page and the Talk It Out section. In response, we went back to the drawing board to reimagine these features. The Fall 2022 issue of the Daily Discipleship Guide will reflect these thoughts.
What is changing?
The Explore the Text page has been simplified. The outline of the passage with discussion questions is now the driving force on the page. We also placed the Key Doctrine and Bible Skill on this page for every session, making it easier to locate. The group plans will continue to reference the Daily Explorations, helping leaders remind the group to use these daily studies after the group time.
We also expanded the Talk It Out section, providing an additional tool for smaller groups that meet beyond the group time. The content and activities will be focused on the weekly memory verse, giving people insight into the verse as well as ideas for holding each other accountable for memorizing it.
There is now an application question set for the group and an individual application question set at the end of the Daily Explorations. We also simplified the headings for each Daily Exploration, making it more personal in the process.

We also want to make sure the members of your class or group and the teachers and leaders got the most out of the resource. To help that happen, we created some How To videos. The videos can be viewed here: for the group member / for the leader
