We were getting requests for a leader resource that did not overwhelm or intimidate a new teacher. We were also hearing a call for something that an experienced-but-busy teacher could use to quickly prepare. So we created a prototype using some of the features in QuickSource and the Personal Study Guide.
After asking for input from churches of varying sizes, we refined the prototype even further. What you will see in the fall is the result of the ideas and input received—a new and improved QuickSource.
What is changing?
First, the Key Words, Talking Points, and Dig Deeper feature will remain the same. Beginning in the fall, the discussion plans will be renamed to Our Group Time. This will include the questions found in the Personal Study Guide (with the page number included) and prompts for each question. This will help a busy teacher better use the tools that are in the hands of their group members.
A second change is the removal of the object lesson. In the future, the leader will instead find an idea for leading the group to complete the weekly Bible Skill found in the Personal Study Guide and an additional idea they might use a different point in the group time.
Some leaders may now want to use QuickSource instead of the Leader Guide, while others may want to use it as a supplement. The leader of a group using the Daily Discipleship Guide may also use QuickSource as a supplement, focusing on the additional Key Words, the Talking Points, and Dig Deeper feature.

We also want to make sure teachers and leaders got the most out of the resource. To help that happen, we created some How To videos. View the video.
