The central truth for this session is: Jesus is the strength we need to persevere. Read Hebrews 12:1-2 and then read this blog post with ways we can find the strength to endure during spiritual opposition. Think about and answer the following questions about what you have read:
- Dr. Charles Stanley lists four things that play a role in developing endurance. Reflect on those things and how each of the aspects listed are found in Hebrews 12:1-2.
- Of the four things that are mentioned, think about which you need to focus on more in your own walk with the Lord and lists some action steps you can take today to begin growing and improving in that area.
- Specifically think about what hindrances you face and then think about what hindrances your students face. Pray for God to make you aware of anything that might be slowing you down in your spiritual walk with Him. If you are unaware of the trials and hindrances your students face, just pray that God will reveal their sin and to them individually and that they will continue to grow into mature believers as they spend time with the Lord.
Hebrews 12:2 reminds us to fix our eyes on Jesus. This is a simple, yet profound truth that is easily forgotten when life gets busy. Make time this week to fix your eyes on Jesus and look to Him for guidance and wisdom as your continue to teach and study Hebrews with your students.

Such good points in the bullets above. Thank you for sharing. Here is my personal resource for memorizing the scripture. I find if I color the words in the verses in the print and color page it helps me to memorize the scripture. See the Hebrews 12:2 print and color page. It can give the kids something to do during the sermon.
