Ezra 3:1-7,10-11; 6:21-22, Session 4: Restoration Begins

December 22, 2014 by Jennifer Siao

The central truth for this session is Worship must be an established practice in the Christian life. Read Ezra 3:1-7,10-11; 6:21-22 and then watch the video discussion included in this blog post by The Gospel Coalition.

  • Think about what your attitude toward worship is and why. Journal your thoughts and views.
  • Challenge your students to think about whether they view worship as a feast or as a concert or lecture. Ask them why they view worship a certain way.
  • How can you take a step to be counter-cultural and to view worship in light of the gospel?

As you prepare, think about your attitude and examine whether you have a proper attitude of worship as you serve. Ask God to search your heart for sin. As this year comes to a close, pray for your students to finish strong and to make wise use of their time during the holidays.
