The gospel is good news. It has the power to transform a life, offering hope and restoration where none was thought possible. Jesus is the One who came to pay our sin debt. He changed history by dying on a cross, being resurrected, and ascending to reign forever. This is, in fact, the best news possible. “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7). We can’t keep this to ourselves! Here are just three reasons to share the good news.
- There is no other way to peace with God.
Salvation isn’t something we can earn or accomplish on our own. As the sinless Son of God, only Jesus could have paid the price for our sins.
- The gospel is for everyone.
It’s tempting to think Jesus died to bring freedom to those who appear good, or somehow worthy, of it. But that’s not what God’s Word says. “He himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world” (1 John 2:2).
- It’s too good not to share.
We don’t hesitate to tell others about an exceptional new restaurant, movie, or podcast. So, why wouldn’t we want others to know about our new life in Christ? Only Jesus offers forgiveness from our sins. We won’t find real, lasting peace apart from Him.
I connect with people everyday who don’t know Jesus as their Savior. Chances are, you do, too. Let’s not miss an opportunity to share about Jesus and the new life we’re offered in Him!
